About

Data Analyst with 5+ years of experience in BI, reporting and data warehousing across finance, energy, education and the public sector. My background in machine learning and credit risk (M.Sc. in Computer Science) gives me a strong foundation in modeling and data quality.

I work mainly with SQL, Python, Snowflake, Power BI and Tableau. Highlights include validating a Snowflake migration of millions of records and replacing manual Excel workflows with automated pipelines and dashboards. Based in Peru, I’m available on US Eastern hours for remote contract roles.

Outside work, I train MMA and grow carnivorous and aquatic plants. My interest in MMA led to the UFC project below.

Projects

Tap or Knockout? How UFC fights end, by weight class

  • Python
  • pandas
  • plotly
  • Tableau Public
  • Jupyter

An analysis of UFC fights (2011 to 2025) on how fights end, which submissions dominate, and how weight class shapes the finish, with a written case study and an interactive dashboard.

  • Submissions end about 18% of fights, and the rear-naked choke alone is over 40% of them.
  • Heavyweights finish by KO/TKO almost twice as often as flyweights (49.2% vs 23.5%).
  • The submission rate has stayed between roughly 15% and 20% every year since 2011.
